The Knoxville Police Department arrested a man after a “peeping Tom” incident at a North Knoxville Target on June 10.
Officers were dispatched to the Target at 6670 Clinton Highway on June 10 at 7:20 p.m. to investigate reports of a peeping Tom.
The female victim told police she was in a stall in the women’s restroom when she noticed a man looking at her from over the top of the divider in the next stall. The victim said the suspect had a cell phone in his hand.
“We were talking about this Target, which is the Target close to most of my coworkers, and how uncomfortable that would be if we’ve found somebody peeping on us in the dressing room or the bathroom,” said Lindsey McCroskey, Target shopper.
When the victim spoke to the suspect, he reportedly laughed at her, flushed the toilet, and ran out of the restroom. The victim chased the man, who was caught by the victim, her husband and store employees. He was held until officers got to the scene.
