Man Arrested For Raping 16-Year-Old Girl In Bathroom

A 36-year-old homeless man has been charged with first degree sexual assault of an incompetent person.

Police said a man bought a 16-year-old girl alcohol and then raped her in a portable bathroom.

According to LPD, the 16-year-old victim reported the rape on Wednesday, June 22.

Court documents reveal she told investigators Marvin Velasquez bought her alcohol on Tuesday, June 21 and they drank under a bridge near 22nd and O streets.

The victim reported Velasquez forced her to have sex with him three or four times inside a construction site porta potty and in the entryway of a building. Velazquez lives at the People City Mission in Lincoln.

The court documents also state Velasquez admitted to police he bought alcohol for the girl and had sex with her. He also admitted the girl was extremely intoxicated.

Velasquez is set to appear in court on July 18.

Bond for Velasquez is set at $250,000.
